Dawn Bonnell Elected to National Academy of Engineering

Description

Dawn Bonnell, Trustees Chair Professor of Materials Science, and director of the Nano-Bio Interface Center at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, was elected to the National Academy of Engineering – among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Dr. Bonnell is one of the key faculty members of the Drexel/Penn IGERT program, a joint effort between Drexel University and the the University of Pennsylvania to provide the best and brightest students with an opportunity to embark on research in the multidisciplinary field of nanotechnology.

Dr. Bonnell was elected to the NAE for development of atomic-resolution surface probes, and for institutional leadership in nanoscience. We offer our most sincere congratulations to her as well as our thanks for her dedication to IGERT.
