Academic curriculum development efforts

The iQuISE faculty have met several times to coordinate and continue to develop the program’s academic curriculum. In particular, we prepared a student handbook that explains the initial form of our curriculum as well as all the requirements of the iQuISE program. Significant subject development occurred in 6.453, Quantum Optical Communication, in which Prof. Shapiro completed a set of lecture-by-lecture notes that will be disseminated through MITs OpenCourseWare Program. In another development effort, Prof. Aaronson offered his new graduate subject 6.896, Quantum Complexity Theory, for the first time in the fall of 2008.
