Achievement

Two groups of IGERT trainees have published papers in a new video journal, JOVE. This journal is intended to communicate details of how to actually DO experiments, and features a professional video team visit to the laboratory to capture footage of how experiments are actually done. Rachel Grashow and Gabrielle Gutierrez published one of these papers (entirely without faculty involvement) and Eugene Kim and collaborators published a second. This is an entirely new way of communicating scientific procedures and results, and the trainees took the initiative in doing these pieces.
