Achievement

Based on the Delta field project the students are developing a white paper examining the risk to the Delta and the California water supply should a large earthquake occur near the Delta and so lead to significant changes in water flow. This will be submitted this summer for evaluation by the participating IGERT faculty. The aim is to have this as a document that can be published. As part of the white paper the students are interviewing various stakeholders and so submitted the relevant DHS Human Subject approval forms to the UCR IBC, even though these were not formally required.
