Former trainees continue work

Three trainees' current positions are related to their involvement in the IGERT. Dr. Heather King (our first motoIGERT graduate - Summer 2012) is doing a postdoctoral fellowship with the Center for Early Math and Science Education (CEMSE). CEMSE has been very involved with MotoIGERT, providing some of our evaluation service and providing mentoring for students interested in moving into education research.

Charlene Buxman and Joanna Mandecki have both been funded by the Field Museum's Women's Board for a senior year of graduate work. This is a prestigious and selective fellowship and the students' IGERT experiences, both research and education, were positive factors in their applications.
