Exploration of learning tools for collaboration

As part of our weekly IGERT meetings we explored a variety of new learning tools to stimulate collective brainstorming and collaboration. This led to an ongoing collaboration to develop an interactive exhibit for Boston’s Museum of Science that is designed to engage children in the ways in which scientists both learn and think. While this is an exciting outcome that will clearly persist beyond the formal end of our grant period (August of this year), it has relevance from an educational standpoint, as the tools learned from guided brainstorming sessions have stimulated new ways of interacting within and between trainees.
