Assistant researcher for the IGERT program Yvonne Chan coordinated a Next Generation Sequencing Workshop. Trainees Siobhan Burns, Rebecca Prescott, John Kittinger and Associates Randi Rhodes and Panpim Thongsripong attended an Illumina Training workshop on campus. Chan held a discussion on data collection and analysis, bringing together Thongsripong, Prescott, and Burns with Dr. Tom Oliver, Dr. Iria Fernandez, post-doctoral researchers that use next generation sequencing to help answer questions and provide feedback on student projects, and helped train students on data analysis.
