Achievement

Through exposure to interdisciplinary coursework, interdisciplinary advising by MultiSTEPS faculty members Ishwar Puri and Jianhua Xing, and in colloboration with a biologist outside of the MultiSTEPS program, trainee Ravi Kappiyoor has made substantial contributions to understanding the mechanical properties of elastin and resilin. He has published results in the journal Soft Matter and has presented his work at three conferences, including an international conference.
