Achievement

In the spring semester, a weekly seminar series was held bringing together IGERT students, associates, and faculty, along with other interested parties. We have average attendance of 25, including 17 students. Topics representing the three major thrusts, engineering, environment, and policy. Specifically we had talks on (1) Development of Visual Impact Assessment Methodology for Wind Turbines in Cape Cod’s Ocean Waters; (2) Offshore Wind Energy Aerodynamics; (3) 3D Modeling and Visualization; (4) Wind Power Grid Integration; (5) Wind, Radars, and Interdisciplinarity in an NSF Engineering Research Center; (6) IGERT Student Presentations from the Wind Energy and Society Studio.
