Framework for studying sustainable cities

This IGERT project developed an inter-disciplinary framework for study of sustainable cities using a social-ecological-intrastructural systems (SEIS) framework. The framework connects theories from engineering, urban planning, environmental sciences, public health and public affairs providing borad-based interdisciplinary education. This framework was accepted for publication in the journal of Industrial Ecology: Ramaswami, A., Weible, Main, D., Heikkila, T., et al. (2012a). A Social-Ecological-Infrastructural Systems (SEIS) Framework for Inter-Disciplinary Study of Sustainable City-Systems: An Integrative Curriculum Across Seven Major Disciplines. J. Ind.
