Trainee presents at the NorthWest Environmental Forum

An IGERT trainee, Jodi Schoenen, presented the foundational paper at the NorthWest Environmental Forum, an invitation-only working group focusing on the development of market and quasi-market payment programs for watershed services in Washington State. The paper, a review of extant literature, addressed cause-effect relationships of forest upstream events to promote a concentration of positive downstream outcomes, where information clarity and sufficiency prevail, and where uncertainty or diffused benefits can stymie a market or quasi-market, e.g., government incentive payment, solution.
