Achievement

Dr. Paul Thompson of Michigan State University will spend part of the 2011-12 academic year advising ESUR faculty on integrating ethics and values into the curriculum and research program. We have developed the following proposed activities for his time: 1. Consult with ESUR IGERT faculty on the integration of ethics and values into core curriculum courses. 2. Consult with ESUR IGERT faculty and community partners on the integration of ethics and values into research projects. 3. Offer guest lecture(s) in core courses on the roles of ethics and values in ecosystem service science and management. 4. Offer workshop on research ethics to ESUR trainees. 5. Meet with ESUR community partners to discuss the influences of ethics and values on their ecosystem service management. 6. Present seminar(s) on current research topic on environmental ethics.
