Achievement

During a recent focus group, a second year PhD IGERT trainee in Kinesiology and Community Health reported that she had been asked to present at her Departmental Seminar. She believed that faculty and student participation was enhanced by their interest in her interdisciplinary research as an IGERT trainee. She perceived that the content of her presentation "Alleviation of Sarcopenia Using Mechanical Strain-Induced Myogenic Stem Cells" and her ability to represent the work from multiple disciplinary perspectives was greatly enhanced by the co-advising and other interdisciplinary aspects of the IGERT.
