Achievement

In Spring 2011, Dr. Martha Gillette, Co-PI, offered MCB529: Current Topics in Cytoskeletal Organization. This course typically enrolls students from Molecular and Cellular Biology exclusively. For the first time, students from engineering enrolled and completed the course. Dr. Gillette provided scaffolding materials, supplemental information, and other supports to enable the engineering student to be successful in the course. This model will be used to adapt other existing courses to enable greater interdisciplinary participation.
