Achievement

One of our participants (K. Nemec) has made great stride in understanding the relationship between diversity and resilience, using replicated large plots along the Platte River, and working with one of our partner organizations, the Nature Conservancy. In a nutshell, this research has documented a relationship between reduced herbivory and diversity, and reduced invasiveness. Some of this has been documented for very small plots, but the relationship at larger scales in an experimental setting has been largely lacking.
