Fulbright dissertation fellowship awarded

IGERT Trainee Adam Sundberg recently was awarded a Fulbright dissertation fellowship to conduct research in the Netherlands: Weathering the Little Ice Age - Wealth and Climate Adaptation during the Dutch Golden Age. Sundberg will work in regional archives the understand the convergence between climate and economy such as grain agriculture, peat extraction, land reclamation, and the herring fishery. He will expand on the scope and significance of climate impacts and adaptation within these sectors using documentary evidence like agricultural treatises, dike management records, and ship log journals.
