Achievement

The IGERT-CFD Trainee group has purchased and implemented an HPC cluster to run small to medium size fluid flow simulations. The cluster is a convenient system on which we can test parallel codes as well as benchmark performance before submitting large jobs to a supercomputer. In addition, this HPC cluster provided the students with valuable cluster management and maintenance experience that typically cannot be obtained without having access to a cluster this size.
