Trainees collaborate on IGERT project

IGERT trainees, Katie Balaconis and Matt Dubach's collaboration on IGERT project, 'Lighting up Diagnostics: Continuous Monitoring of Electrolyte Imbalances', have made them finalists in the Student Prize in Primary Healthcare given by the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology (CIMIT). Finalists were announced 2/15/2011. Each finalist receives $10,000 funding to develop their project for a final submission on May 31st, 2011. The winning project will receive $150,000 to continue work.
