Life-cycle assessment studies

Alexander Dale spent the past year working on two life-cycle assessment studies (streetlight technologies and multi-criteria optimization to assess optimal gasoline blends), as well as the first major piece of his dissertation research, which focuses on the Marcellus Shale. Further, Mr. Dale's commitment to sustainable engineering is exemplified by his prolific service and community activities. He continued to serve as Director of Communications, Collaborations, and Technology for Engineers for a Sustainable World at the national level; taught a workshop on household solar installations as part of an Earth Day event through the Kingsley Association in Larimer, PA; assisted with the 4th annual Student Sustainability Symposium at UPitt; and co-organized the 2nd TEDxUniPittsburgh speaker event.
