Trainee helps develop PlantMetabolomics.com

IGERT associate, Preeti Bias, with guidance from IGERT advisor, Julie Dickerson (Computer Engineering, ISU), led a multi-institutional team in developing PlantMetabolomics.org, a web portal for metabolomics experiments (http://www.plantmetabolomics.org). Another IGERT trainee, Yves Sucaet, and researchers in the groups of IGERT faculty members, Basil Nikolau (Biochemistry), Eve Wurtele (Genetics), and Phil Dixon (Statistics), contributed to the effort, which was published in Plant Physiology in February 2010. This IGERT achievement was the result of interdisciplinary teamwork among scientists in four different departments at ISU, and scientists at Stanford, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Washington State University, The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Kansas State University, and the University of California, Davis.
