Research Achievements

Joint presentations benefit trainees

We have moved towards joint presentations during our Systems Biology Research meeting. This approach has been quite successful allowing each trainee to individually present work that is directly related to their area of study and jointly gaining a wider perspective on the various challenges and computational aspects of multidisciplinary problem solving. IGERT Trainees Brian Drawert, Computer Science, and Mike Lawson, Dept. of Biomolecular Science and Engineering, presented their first joint presentation during the spring quarter of 2008, "Model Development for Polarization in Mating S. Cerevisiae".
