Trainee assists with curriculum development

IGERT Trainee Holly Jessop played a key role assisting with the consolidation of curriculum development efforts and materials that has provided the basis for a novel set of courses and materials integrating ecological and public health sciences. Holly's exceptional science communication experience, and research interests spanning ecological and public health sciences resulted in her co-authoring the opening chapter of a leading text book in environmental health, published this year. This represents a depth of integration of ecological concepts and principles with public health issues previously unavailable in any environmental health text books. The book and Holly's chapter will be used in our curriculum, as part of our university's Global Health Program Holly helps coordinate.
