New Master program approved

The new Master of Engin. in Pharmaceutical Sci & Engin. (http://pharmeng.rutgers.edu/) has been state-approved and is fully implemented. The first class started in the Fall 2009. The new Master program consists of 30 credit hours, divided into 15 core courses and 15 electives. The classes are taught in the evenings to allow both full-time and also part-time working students from industry to participate in the program. Rutgers University has always provided an intellectual climate for the preparation of individuals for professional advancement and will continue to train engineers and scientists with the requisite skills to work in the rapidly evolving regulatory framework that determines pharmaceutical product design and manufacturing processes. This new degree has created a lot of interest in the pharmaceutical companies close to Rutgers.
