Achievement

Regular weekly seminar series limited to IGERT trainees and faculty have been implemented to discuss and exchange ideas related to scientific and policy issues of clean energy. Presentations by IGERT trainees on energy related topics provided an opportunity to hone their public speaking skills. External speakers provided a forum for discussions related to industrial and policy challenges of clean energy implementation. These seminars were particularly effective because it allowed the IGERT community (especially the trainees) to provide opinions on a range of energy related topics, creating vibrant and enthusiastic discussions. It also provided a small forum for the trainees to interact with experts in energy research.
