Grant to boost STEM education in Baltimore

Achievement/Results

IGERT faculty member Michael Falk was awarded a $7.4M grant from NSF to boost STEM education in Baltimore through a partnership with Baltimore City Public School, with significant potential to become national model. Trainees involved with this grant are encouraged to commit to 34 weeks of 4 hour stints at local schools. More information can be found at http://hub.jhu.edu/2012/09/25/stem-grant

This activity is directly focused on increasing the quality of STEM education by exposing not only students but their parents and teachers to STEM education at an early age.
