3D Heads

The students digitized each others head’s in 3D using the latest photogrammetry software. This involved the careful capture of up to 100 high quality digital photographs from many different angles. Using state of the art software, the students analyzed these photos to create a detailed 3D model of the head. After refining this model, the students processed the 3D data into planar slices which could then be cut on a laser cutter and reassembled into a 3D sculpture.
