The butterfly guide: a mobile tool for natural history education and biodiversity informatics
Butterfly researcher collaborates with computer science students
UC Davis ecology graduate student Melissa Whitaker put out a call for undergraduate computer science students to help on writing a SmartPhone app for butterfly identification. Undergraduates Bryan Maass and Joey Jiron responded, and the three subsequently have collaborated on developing a guide to butterfly identification that soon will be available to the public.
