James Lo, Trainee in the NSF IGERT program in Indoor Environmental Science and Engineering at UT, spent his summer internship at CPP Wind Engineering and Air Quality Consultants Company. This is the leading company for applied wind engineering studies in the U.S. that provides international services in the area of urban wind characteristics as well as indoor environmental quality and control. During the three month period James collaborated with CPP researchers by conducting experiments for developing and testing his modeling method for airflow between indoor and outdoor environments. In this image, James poses in the state-of-the-art wind tunnel that he used to systematically investigate the impact of wind turbulence on building ventilation.
